ANIME FIELD NOTES
Vinland Saga
Quick notes for reviewing a match. This page is shorter than our expanded study guides.
Thorfinn grows up around warriors while pursuing a personal revenge. Life aboard ships, in camps and on farms gives that pursuit very different surroundings. The story spends time on the work and losses left after a fight, as well as the fight itself.
What to notice
Place Thorfinn in the stage of his life named by the prompt. His goal doesn't stay fixed throughout the story. For production questions, season one and season two have different lead studios; neither credit covers the entire adaptation by itself.
Keep these straight
- Thorfinn's priorities change across the journey.
- Season one and season two have different lead animation studios.
- A fictionalized character encounter is not automatically a documented historical event.
