ANIME FIELD NOTES
Odd Taxi
Quick notes for reviewing a match. This page is shorter than our expanded study guides.
A taxi driver's conversations connect lives that initially seem separate. Odd Taxi turns routine travel into a way of distributing information across an ensemble. The meaning of an apparently minor detail can change when another person's perspective becomes available.
What to notice
Keep a statement's speaker and circumstances attached to it. Knowing that a detail is important does not mean every character knows it too.
Keep these straight
- A passenger's statement and an established event are different kinds of information.
- The taxi creates connections without making every character a close acquaintance.
- The game names OLM together with P.I.C.S. in its production context.
